Uganda Gorilla Tracking Permits fees go up next year
Effective July 1 2020, the Uganda gorilla tracking permit fee will increase from US$600 to US$700. The increase was announced by the Uganda Widlife Authority a body that is incharge of Uganda’s Game parks.
To track the Mouintain gorillas in Uganda either in Mgahinga Park or Bwindi Impenetrable Forest one requires a gorilla permit to do so. Acquiring a Uganda gorilla tracking permit is the only way one is guaranteed to trek and meet the mountain gorillas face to face.
It is important to note that the $100 increase on the Gorilla trekking fees is is still much cheaper than the US$1500 charged by Rwanda to view the gorillas in Rwanda.
